U8 Program Details

The Under 8/U8 Division, for children in 1st and 2nd grade, is made up of girls and boys teams (no co-ed teams). Teams have a roster of 9-10 players and play 6v6 (5 field player plus a goalie) Teams practice once a week (45-60 minutes) and play games on Saturdays. Games are @60 minutes long consisting of 4 x 10 minute quarters, 5 minute breaks at the quarters and 5 minute half time.  Team creation and player placement is totally dependent on parents volunteering to coach. Coaching manuals are available with practice plans and activities for our volunteer coaches. There is also a pre-season coaching clinic for all intereted coaches. All activities are fun games intended to develop players’ basic skills and further each child’s love for the game. There is also a staff coach available to run a practice session for any coach requesting this service.
